WHAT IS YWAM?

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and denominations, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. Youth With A Mission has around 1200 locations in 180 nations with over 20 000 full time volunteer staff. YWAM’s many ministries fit into three main categories: evangelism, training, and mercy ministry. Through these ministries, we desire to see God’s transformation in every sphere of society across the world. 

HOW WE FUNCTION

We are a family of believers living together, encouraging and sharpening  each other, in order to see Marseille changed by God’s love. YWAM Marseille exists to bring God’s kingdom here on earth in tangible ways through living a lifestyle of holiness, worship and intercessory prayer. This lifestyle leads us into serving our neighbours and sharing the good news.

YWAM Marseille is a community of believers centred around God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We are committed to knowing God and making Him known through training, sharing the gospel and mercy ministries. We have a focus on the city of Marseille, France, Middle East, North Africa and Southern Europe.

GOD'S WORD AND PROMISE TO US

God has spoken that Marseille will be a city on a hill, shining brightly as people see God’s redemptive touch on the city. Its strategic position as a door to the Mediterranean region will be used to launch and empower people into the dreams God has for them.

MARSEILLE

We love this city that God has called us too! Marseille is a city located in the South of France on the Mediterranean Sea. It is the oldest city in France and is very culturally diverse. Historically it began as a major port and trade hub for the region. This city is a gateway for Africa and the Middle East into France so it sees many immigrants and refugees coming and going; causing a rich mix of nationalities and cultures. It is full of life and colour and gets sunshine 300 days a year. There are so many opportunities and need for the Gospel in this city. We are so excited to see what God will do in this city in the years to come.
